The History
Back in the days much of the land of Cavez integrated a large emphyteutic term, that belonged to the landlord of the Order of Malta and his wife, called "Casal da Venda".
Casal da venda's house was the headquarters of one of the institutions that, with evolution, became a place of commerce, " as Vendas", which was completely transformed in the 2nd half of the nineteenth century, with the creation of a modern farm of undeniable beauty.
The farm was considered one of the largest producer of the county (Cabeceiras de Basto) and probably of the 4 counties that cover the region of Basto of the traditional vinho verde.
